Pho Thin

Pho is a traditional cuisine in Vietnam and is considered as one of the most delicious dishes for breakfast. Pho is a reflection of the culture and history of Vietnam, but no one really knows how pho came to be. It is estimated that Pho has changed much during its nearly 100 year history. Bun Cha Lien Huong

People call it a special name: Bun cha Obama. The reason why it has name is U.S President Barack Obama and Bourdain had a dinner of 'Bun cha' at Bun cha Huong Lien restaurant in Hanoi, Viet nam May 23, 2016. From now on, the quantity of people coming here to eat rise considerably. After that, it is only traditional dish of Vietnamese people. The Old Quarter's Night Market in Hanoi

If you are in the Old Quarter , the Night Market is hard to miss. Every weekend night, from 8:00 p.m to 12:00 p.m there is a market with full of food and goods. The market is divided into three rows and disposed parallely. Each of parts sells a kind of goods or food. The market stretches from Hang Ngang to Hang Dao street. Apparently, it's so exciting for you to participate in large flea market. For the market, the street was blocked off to motor traffic. So you are free to walk and taste food without scaring about that. Coming here, you will witness a traditional market of local residents with unique items you can't find anywhere else in the world. There are the plenty of street vendors selling not only clothes, souvenirs, postcards. Besides, the food here is excellent. It likes a paradise for food with Vietnamese breads, fresh fruit, candy floss, local beer, ice-cream,...A variety of food are displayed on kiosks and you can taste them directly on hot frying-pan. Or you can sit on a small chair on pavement drink beer Hanoi and chat with your friends. Occasionally, you can find some folk performances at the end or top of street.

Because of being unique of night market, people visiting here are so crowded that you may feel ill at easy. In addition, some pity crimes often happen such as pickpocket, bad bargain or jostling others out. It is suggested that you should go with your tour guide since he knows what is good for you.

Long Bien Market

Long Bien market was ranked in 7 top as one of the most interesting flea market on the world by Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Located in the heart of capital with convenient traffic directions, Long Bien market has been in a favourable trade position. This is place supplying vegetable and fruit for other markets and near provinces. It is interesting that that time the market happens bustling most is in midnight, from 11h p.m to 5h a.m next day. At 11 p.m every night, a range of trucks full of fresh vegetable go into market one another. While everyone is in a deep sleep, market is full of light with busy space. There are a variety of plant displayed on sides in large buckets with cheap price but good quality, because traders are wholesale in bulk. It comes as no surprise that you will be charmed by fresh fruit or beautiful flowers with stagnant dew. But nowadays as the good quantity rise quickly, Long Bien market is overloaded. At the entrance of the market, traffic jam often happens with unpleasant sound from motorbikes and trucks. According to latest report, in 2025, Long Bien market has not played an important role like mother market.

The One Pillar Pagoda

The One Pillar Pagoda is located in Ho Chi Minh complex and next to Ho Chi Minh Museum. You can catch the image at the behind of 5.000 VND coin. In 2002, it is considered to be the most beautiful architectural pagodar in Asia.
The pagoda was constructed under dynasty Ly 1049 due to the dream of the king. The legend goes that Ly Thai Tong was childless and dreamt that he met the bodhisattva sitting on a lotus and leading him to a similar building. Then the queen gave birth to a child. He was advised by Thien Tue monk to build the pagoda supported by only one pillar to resemble the lotus seat of his dream in the honor of the Bodhisattva.
In 1105, Ly Nhan Tong extended the pagoda and added Linh Chieu bond. It means to enlighten and awaken the pure soul of people. The pagoda was made of wood on a single stone pillar. The pillar pitched deeply into pond like to transfer vitality of heaven to make bumper crop and fertile soil. In 1954, the French forces destroyed the pagoda before withdrawing from Vietnam. Afterwards it was rebuilt basing on initial style by Nguyen Ba Lang architect.
Nowaday, it remains unique, ancient and sacred. Not only is it famous for special architectural construction but it also is symbol of Vietnamese culture and religion.

The Huc Bridge

The Huc Bridge is a beautiful construction built to connect the Ngoc Son Temple in the heart of the Sword Lake. You can't neglect it because of its bright red color blending in with landscape around and sophisticated architectural features. Nguyen Van Sieu got the bridge constructed mostly by fine wood with 36 hard poles. The Huc Bridge is well-known as "the bridge where light is absorbed". The red color is the symbol of the sun, life and hopeness. Moreover, standing from the bridge, you can enjoy spacious and elegant beauty of the Sword Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Turtle Tower. That is the reason why this is destination for tourists to come over and take some photographs.
Regardless of your nationality, you are totally free of charge if you only go on the bridge to do sightseeing without going into the Ngoc Son Temple.

Because of being free, people coming here are so crowded, specially in holiday. So you shouldn't visiting holiday or weekends.

Ho Chi Minh Museum

The Ho Chi Minh Museum is one of the largest museums in Vietnam, located Ngoc Ha street in Hanoi. the museum displays a lot of artifacts and documents about the life and personality of president Ho Chi Minh. It was erected in 1985 and was inaugurated pm May 19th, 1990 on the occasion of 100th years of his birth.

With an area of 18.000 m2, Ho Chi Minh museum becomes the largest and the most modern in Vietnam. The building is 20m tall with 5 extensive floors. The museum stores more than 12 thousand documents, artifacts and original films about the life and revolutionary career of president Ho Chi Minh. Therefore, it is an invaluable asset of the Vietnamese in the education of patriotism, moral of President Ho Chi Minh.

The native people is free of charge, but foreign tourists have to pay 15.000 VND per an adult for ticket.
